What on earth was Guillermo del Toro thinking

No it is not enough to have the name Guillermo del Toro didn't he do Pan's Kingdom, now that was good. Obviously he is better when dealing with magicko-religious fantasy films that are set in the time of Franco rather than updated anti German Fascist films. Whatever the reason. Hell Boy 2 if you missed it, you did well. It's missable.
